I've lost chance of podium today - Fisico

Giancarlo Fisichella, the Italian driver of the Mild Seven Renault F1 Team. was an unhappy man after qualifying in Germany. He got caught behind Jacques Villeneuve's BMW Sauber F1.06 and got really upset by that. Here follows the interview with the Roman.

Giancarlo, what happened today in qualifying?

"Well, I came up behind Villeneuve when he was coming out of the pits and I was on my fast lap. He knows how much you lose when you are behind another car, in terms of grip and downforce, but he didn't let me pass him. He had at least two opportunities but didn't move over, so I am angry and disappointed. He is a professional driver, and we have rules. You have to respect them, respect the code between the drivers."

What did it cost you?

"Well my team-mate got pole... I am not saying I would have done, but I could have been second, third, fourth and racing to win. Instead, I am thirteenth and it will be hard to get even to the podium."

What do you want to happen?

"It is the rules, he has to lose his time then it is OK. Otherwise, everybody will slow the others up on their fast lap. I will be surprised if nothing happens with the stewards."
