McLaren wraps-up Barcelona test

Pedro de la Rosa returned to the Circuit de Catalunya today to complete the on track development programme in the build-up to the Spanish Grand Prix. Work had originally been scheduled for just three days, however after rain interrupted the second day it was decided to take advantage of the extension.

As predicted the day was interrupted again by rain in around midday. The team spent some time in the garage waiting for conditions to improve and returned to the track towards the end of the session to complete the test plan for the week.

Fernando Alonso "It was good to get back in the car in Barcelona this week. On Tuesday there were difficulties with the weather, so we lost a little bit of track time on that day, but on the other three days we managed to cover a lot of mileage. We were looking at how the car has improved from the last race to now, looking at the developments and checking everything is ok and we completed what we needed to do. So I am happy with how the car is doing, and now we will have to wait and see in the race here next weekend."
