Heidfeld concludes Jerez test for BMW

On the third and final day of testing at Jerez, Nick Heidfeld completed 94 laps of the Spanish circuit. The BMW Sauber F1 Team driver mainly worked on the set-up for the forthcoming races. With the weather being warm and sunny most of the day, Nick ran an extensive testing programme in Jerez, where a total of nine drivers took to the track.

The German did 94 laps of the "Circuito de Jerez", covering a total of 416 kilometres. The BMW Sauber F1 Team test driver posted a personal best time of 1:20.184 minutes. McLaren driver Pedro de la Rosa recorded the fastest lap of the day, which was clocked at 1:19.617 minutes.

Today the team worked on the set-up for the forthcoming races in Fuji (JPN), Shanghai (CHN) and Sao Paolo (BRA). Nick also completed some development testing for the 2008 season. All in all the team evaluated the Jerez test as very productive. The BMW Sauber F1 Team now feels well-prepared for the final overseas races.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team will leave for the final three races of the 2007 season next week. The team will be testing again in Spain at the Barcelona track from 13 - 15 November.
