Karthikeyan looking for 2006 seat

Narain Karthikeyan is keeping his options open for the 2006 season after revealing he has received offers from several teams. Karthikeyan made his debut in F1 in Melbourne with the Jordan team. He was initially praised as he was consistently quicker than his team mate but gradually got overpowered by the Portuguese.

The relationship with Jordan's managing director Collin Koles has become turbid during the summer. The driver himself made several mistakes which Koles found unprofessional, while Karthikeyan had hinted he wants to move to an other team in a testing role.

"I have to keep all options open for the new season," Karthikeyan said. "Some other Formula 1 teams have been impressed with my performance so far and have approached me. But it's too early to decide on the matter. I don't want to speculate. There are only 20 drivers in Formula 1 out there while thousand others are waiting."
