Both drivers will be given exactly the same cars - Theissen

Just days after the success at the Canadian Grand Prix, the BMW Sauber F1 Team is already hard at work preparing for the eighth Formula One race of the year in Magny-Cours. For BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen, the premature achievement of the season's objective does not change the team's strategy.

As the team strives for another good result in Magny-Cours, the successful work over the past months will continue unchanged. "We will continue as we were", announces Theissen. "We will not change our strategy for the coming races. Both drivers will be given exactly the same cars, and exactly the same devotion from the team. Then we will take a calm look at their qualifying results before deciding the race strategy."

Having achieved the first ever Grand Prix victory for the BMW Sauber F1 Team in Montreal, Robert Kubica will also be sticking to the same approach for future races. According to Theissen, the success has "in no way" affected the Pole's work. "It was clear to him that he was going to win a race at some time. It has happened now, and he is simply continuing to work as he did before", says Theissen.

And so, a matter of days after the Canadian Grand Prix, Robert is once again behind the wheel of his BMW Sauber F1.08. The team from Munich and Hinwil is currently spending three days testing in Barcelona, in order to prepare for the French Grand Prix on 22nd June.
