Active: 15-01-1978 - 10-09-1978
Team: Walter Wolf Racing

Designer: Harvey Postlethwaite
Drivers: Jody Scheckter (20), Keke Rosberg (32)

The WR4 competed only in two Grand Prix and was powered by the Cosworth DFV engine. It was uncompetitive in both its outings and was designed by Harvey Postlethwaite, who also designed the constructor's predecessors.

The car debuted in the hands of Jody Scheckter at the Argentine GP of 1978 and immediately recorded its best finish in 10th. Later in the year, Keke Rosberg entered two races with the car for the privateer team Theodore Racing Hong Kong. Rosberg retired due to an accident at the Dutch GP and failed to pre-qualify at the Italian GP.

The car appeared in black and gold at Argentina, the colours of Wolf Racing, and later in red and white when Rosberg was driving the car for Theodoro Racing.
