Scuderia Ferrari SF16-H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

The side to side comparisons clearly show a longer wheelbase probably has a consequence of that slim rear. Very like the size zero (tm) from McLaren, no?

Can confirm.
Rear end is noticeably slimmer. Could be at expense of longer wheelbase though as previously suggested. Also, is it just me or do the sidepod openings actually look bigger on the 16H?

What are those new vents beside the drivers enclosure? Is it some form of cooling vent to the engine?

My goodness has that rear bodywork gotten slimmer. Seems to be a running trend so far with the Williams and Merc. Must be something back there that the teams have found to get an advantage.
Friendship with Honda ended, Renault is my new (and more reliable) friend.

It seems that the front cameras are higher than in the SF15T

The nose structure, top panel on the nose and the tight rear end looks similar to last years Mclaren and the RB

Ferrari has copied the suspension arrangements from Merc.

I think wheelbase is same as last year.. If anything they might be a tad shorter 10-15mm maybe

https://twitter.com/eligp/status/700676220560785408 Both images are not at same scale but if they were I don't think there would be much difference between both cars.

The rear on the SF16-H is gorgeous, that's a size zero if ever I saw it :D
