Mercedes-AMG F1 W10 EQ Power+

Good view of W10 nice packaging... and new mirror support

The mirror needs support when the sidepod vane isn't attached. I wonder if that's a precaution against it snapping off if some accidentally leans on it.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Thank you! Great shot, btw. Looks similar to the Bahrain spec with the 3 hanging vanes. The upwash strakes may be slightly more pronounced compared to Bahrain, though. Always tough to tell via photos.

Do you think about that low DF RW tested by Russell on Bahrein test?
Nope, that was a Baku-spec RW and maybe they`ll try it in FP1 for further correlation and data gathering in regard of the new FW they have it for this race ...

More interesting to know is how much they could trim the China-spec RW regarding DF levels, bearing in mind that the new FW and particularly the new endplate will generate - indirectly - more airflow towards diffuser, hence more rear DF which in return will allow them to run a lower AoA RW and that`s the only way to match the Ferrari on that long straight!

I didn't expect that wing in China, I just wanted to see the end plates, etc.

Agree, that will be interesting to see.

So the new FW is already banned according to AMuS

Why is the front wing banned?

Because when looking from the side you can see the FW flaps and you should only be able to see the end plate.

It's not banned.

It just has to be modified slightly.

Anyone got the rules on the endplates? Surely Merc would know that this wouldn't fly with the FIA.

Red Bull had to modify theirs as well.

I'm guessing Merc knew, and was toeing the line. It was worth seeing what the effects would be at the maximum.

Alternatively (and this is a stretch), they could've been doing this deliberately for clarification.

The new end plates do not comply with the regulations because the end plates are cut out in a fashion that you can see the top flap from the side.

The regulations state that the end plate must completely cover the flap when viewed from the side. Merc just has to modify the FW for qualifying/the race.

What about the Williams front wing?
