I think the tyre pressures are too high. Max was on the radio complaining about it.

Not only on his last lap, he was stuck behind Vettel.FP1 was a bit of a write off.

I sort of agree with him though, I think that because the overall safety factor has increased so much lately, drivers definitely feel more comfortable taking bigger risks than drivers driving cars from couple decades ago, same goes for initiating a contact with other car, I highly doubt we would see so much of it today if they knew that they could easily put the other guy in a hospital, or get there themselves

there is a very similar trend with driving on public roads as well

Spa was run with super high tire pressures as well no? Does super high tire pressures give the tires more structural stability in high load corners? Pouhon for example? Monza has Parabolica so for those corners they jack up the pressures or what?

hamilton fp2 1.21.046 lap from later on in the session when conditions were not as good. Still managed P2.
