It's obviously a hole and it's - pretty damn obviously, I think - not just for driver cooling.

Whether it is simply cleaning up the boundary layer airflow - as Scarbs said - or if it is related to the DRS boost Mark Gillian mentioned, is the real question.

I'm no aero expert, but I have to think this is either a horribly obvious duct-tape solution to driver cooling or they're being sly here. I hope and expect that it's the latter.

Big inlets require big outlets. So, after having determined that there is an underchin inlet, it could be interesting to find the outlet.

the outlets are the same as last year at the moment, but the panel is small and easy to change- maybe the next iteration of them will show something interesting.

I see. Then, forgetting the inlet, how are the two last pictures compatible? Different chassis specs?

I still find it absolutely astounding that they can cool the brakes adequately with inlets which are not 20% the face size from just a couple years ago. Incredible.

If anyone can direct me to a discussion of this current brake cooling design, please reply with a link. I still don't fully understand how they can possibly work.

In case you haven't noticed, Ferrari has two noses. One covers whole ,while one exposes the hole.
