There are no miracles - Alonso

Renault F1 Team driver Fernando Alonso was the most unlucky driver at Singapore today. After finishing on top of the timesheets during the second and third free practice session, Alonso had to abandon Q2 during the qualifying session due to a fuel pump problem.

Fernando Alonso said: "The pole position was unreachable, but I'm sure we would have been second or third. The race is lost. You can't overtake here and I'm starting from 15th, so I will be going out just to lap the track, but it's over already.

"If there are 10 or 12 retirements and there are safety cars... but there are no miracles. We have to do a better job on Saturday, especially on tracks like this where you can't overtake. We said all weekend that starting from eighth or ninth would be a problem, so starting from 15th it's all over."
