Pierre Dupasquier had his last appearance as Michelin's Competition Director during last weekend's Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai. The 68 year-old Frenchman is set to retire from the sport. However, he will not leave Michelin completely.

Dupasquier will remain an advisor to the company, although not directly involved in the operational business.
Pierre Dupasquier "The truth is that I am absolutely delighted to understand that what has been done for years in the motorsport department has a value for Michelin, and they still want me to pass that message and behaviour to the rest of the company."

Dupasquier joined Michelin in 1962 and spent more than 40 years in various major roles within the French company.
