MotoGP Confirms 2026 Season Launch in Kuala Lumpur

MotoGP will begin its 2026 campaign with a landmark celebration in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, as the Malaysian capital prepares to host the championship’s official season launch for the first time.
The event, set for 7 February 2026, will transform the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and its surrounding streets into a vibrant showcase of motorsport, culture, and entertainment.
The week‑long programme will centre around a dedicated Fan Zone inside the KLCC Shopping Mall, open daily from 2–7 February between 10:00 and 22:00. Visitors will be able to explore interactive MotoGP exhibits, technology displays, and hands‑on experiences designed to bring fans closer to the sport.
Festivities will intensify on launch day, beginning with a Pit Box‑style bike display at the KLCC entrance, offering fans a close look at the 2026 machines.
The celebration will culminate in a major evening event beneath the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, running from 19:00 to 22:30. The programme will feature an urban bike run, a main‑stage rider presentation, and live music performances, creating a dramatic backdrop for the unveiling of the new season.
MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta highlighted the significance of bringing the launch to Malaysia, a key market for the championship: "Kuala Lumpur is a city that embodies dynamism and excitement, making it the perfect stage for MotoGP’s season launch. We’re thrilled to bring this unique celebration to Malaysia and share the spirit of MotoGP with fans in Southeast Asia."
