Verstappen would love to test the Spyker car

The sponsors of the Etihad Aldar Spyker Formula One Team had the idea to invite former F1-driver Jos Verstappen to test the F8-VII. Jos Verstappen is completely up for the challenge as he said: "I'd love to have a go in that car."

Jos Verstappen wrote in his own column in the Dutch newspaper "Telegraaf': "The whole thing started as a spontaneous idea by Trust CEO Michel Perridon. He thought it would be great to let me test the Spyker F1 car. You wouldn't believe how many response that brought. So it's more than just a rumour, we are trying to work out the plan and see how we can make the plan work. I have to admit that I would love to test their Formula 1 car, but it would only make sense if every party involved would benefit from it.

"I truly believe that I can help Spyker with my many years of experience in Formula One but they would have to give me a serious chance to help them. That would mean at least two days, but even better three days, in the car. It would be useless to get in that car and drive only a couple of laps. It wouldn't help anyone."
