Super Aguri hit by financial problems

According to the German website motorsport-total.com, the Super Aguri Formula One Team has been hit by financial problems. One of the Leafield-based team's sponsors would have failed to make a payment in July, leaving the team in a difficult position. It's suggested that Super Aguri has stopped its development programmes and the race team has been made smaller.

Aguri Suzuki said: "Formula one is very difficult and we are a very small team."

Only the top ten teams receive prize-money after the season. At the moment, Super Aguri is in 8th place with 4 points. "We are saving where we can and hoping that we profit financially from the four points that we have scored this year," explained Daniele Audetto.
