An F1 team must have a leader - de la Rosa

In the Spanish newspaper 'El Mundo Deportivo', Pedro de la Rosa questioned the 'equal status' policy of the McLaren Mercedes Team. The Spaniard said that if he would be Team Principal he would appoint a number one driver.

De la Rosa said: "My vision is very different. In my view, a formula one team must have a leader and everyone should work for him, as happens in other sports such as cycling. That is the modern concept that should govern any team."

Still the Spanish test driver has a great deal of respect for Ron Dennis and his alternate view. "I experienced it first hand. When I replaced Montoya, I got everything the same as Raikkonen."
