Out of interest (if anyone is!) here's what L. Robinson and Company's (inventor's of the Jubilee clip) website has to say:
L. Robinson and Company wrote:Jubilee® is a registered trade mark of L Robinson & Co (Gillingham) Ltd. In 1921 we invented the worm drive hose clip and we have been manufacturing them ever since.
These days, we are not the only manufacturer of hose clip and clamping materials, but we are still the finest, setting the standard to which our competitors aspire.
Use this site to find out more about Jubilee Clips or to find the materials you need in our Product Catalogue.
Jubilee® Clip guarantees you quality, reliability, value and service.
For what it's worth, they really are the best I've ever come accross. I have some attaching a hose to my water butt in the garden and they've been out there in all weathers for YEARS now, and there is not a hint of rust!

Back on topic, there is definitely something clever going on with their starter motor hole, I'm not sure they're directly blowing it, but there's a lot of gas coming out that hole otherwise we wouldn't be able to see flames shooting out of it! Personally, I reckon they're using it as a miniature second deck somehow.
The answer to the ultimate question, of life, the Universe and ... Everything?
