Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's not visible in those pictures but it appears Massa was running with flowviz on the front brake ducts whilst testing that new FW.

Massa didn't run this front wing. It only arrived this morning.

Sure about that? The image above clearly shows the number 6 car...

It looks like the same FW from this picture courtesy of the F1 technical testing gallery:

Yes I'm sure. If you look at the top picture I posted, you will see there is no hole in the endplate like the picture on the bottom or the picture you just posted.

Edit: the old wing= yellow circle. New wing = black circle. The new wing endplate has no opening

Those front brake ducts look massive...similar to a reverse side wheel hub back in 2009....hahaha :P
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

This wing has 1 5 element section!

The first flap splits into 2 about half way through!

Re: Ferrari F2012

certainly seems so.

I think Ferrari's nose camera's may be placed in an illegal position.

IIRC a rule was introduced this season, so that a line drawn through the middle of the camera profile doesn't intersect any bodywork forward of that point.

Maybe Ferrari have a design on the verge of legality.
