So the latest on the revised exhaust is just this, today's location was on experimental and is not the updated exhaust. We should see the updated exhaust on Thursday but today was only to test how the car reacted getting the gasses where they want and to check out the tyres. I'm ready to skip tomorrow & go straight to Thursday. :D

Regarding the convex Coanda extension added to the exhaust system tip:

Is this legally acceptable at an actual race? Something attached to the exhaust system become part of the exhaust assembly or does the extension have to be physically detached from the exhaust pipe?

It's not acceptable for a Grand Prix says multiple sites. It was only used as an experiment.

Not possible. It already looked 15cm wide, as with every other team (full width allowed).

What does it mean to seal the diffuser in an F1 car?

Teams are trying to "close" the gap between diffuser sides and road to make it bigger in effect. If they can achieve that they can rise rear end of the car a bit to get even bigger diffuser and in that way create more downforce without added drag

Autosprint says that the Ferrari Pull-rod front suspension may be the cause of the lack of top speed. The air vortices near the wishbones and the rod aren't like the ones they've got in the wind-tunnel.

Edit: AutoSprint it at it again. They say the F2012's lack of top speed is due to front pull rod suspension. The reason cited:

The vortices near the wishbones and the rod aren't like the ones they've got in the wind-tunnel.

Not sure how they claim to know this, nor would you think Ferrari would make such an oversight.

Nor would I think the wishbones can be enough obstruction to steal any topspeed.
