I think if Mercedes don't hit another hiccup like they did in US, and with Ferrari's resurgence, there's gonna be an epic Ferrari vs Red Bull vs Mercedes race.
I hope so to! Last season we expected an epic race between the Max, Seb and Lewis, but Seb and Lewis colided.
but Seb did the dirty  or had a brain fade  either will do.

So vettel needs 3 wins in a row, something he has never done in the Hybrid era
3 wins and 3 straight DNFs/no pts for Ham. something that Ham has never done ever...

Doubt he's dirty, he just can't cope with pressure that's all.

Yes, he has. Back in 2009 with that dog of a Mclaren.

I doubt if its just Seb's thin skin, something is definitely wrong within Ferrari that's edging him close to the cliff.

I do feel the critique on Seb is it bit much. Yes he has spun in some fights. No these weren't maybe the best times to pick time (those fights) and I do agree (or at least I personally feel) Seb's racecraft isn't of the very top tier level when it comes to battling. But is wasn't so poor either. He lost out in every duel these last few races but it could have also ended differently. The pressure surely has affected those choices. Once a gap starts to appear (in points, between nr1 and 2 in the wdc) the pressure on the one on the back foot can quite quickly escalate.

Personally, I think it's the fact that he will have a strong hungry teammate next year, that will challenge him, not help him. Also the fact that it's been publicly stated his new teammate is the future for Ferrari probably doesn't help any!

Yeah. I've never really liked Ferrari, but I do really like Leclerc, so if Ferrari win anything in future I do hope its him.

I’ll go back to Singapore 2017 again.

Ahead in the championship. On a wet track on pole with his team mate in 2nd and Verstappen in 3rd. He then gets a bad start and instead of playing the long game he trys a schumi chop that was never going to come off. What’s the reasoning for that event as being behind in the championship doesn’t work?

Guys I remember some of the TV coverage last year saying the Red Bull was suited to the high altitude of Mexico. And that was why they found pace for Verstappen to win.

Can anyone explain that, and perhaps on the back of that discuss which of the front 3 will enjoy Mexico this year?

Turbo engine so power loss is minimal but the "thin air" means drag is reduced. In effect, their power deficit is reduced.

Thanks man. Good news for them.

Is there also something to do with mechanical grip playing a big part? I'm trying to recall what was said on the to coverage

There is still some power loss, despite turbos. So percentage wise they dont gain anything, but because everyone's power is a bit less it means in absolute terms they're better off.

Yes they're higher up, however it's a wash, slightly less power slightly less air resistance. Turbos were developed precisely because old prop aircraft couldn't breathe at high altitudes(much higher than Mexico City is above sea level). Yes the turbos work harder, however the performance impact again is a bit of a wash.

Horner was saying the reason they are strong in Mexico is down to the reduced power and the renault loses less power as it has less power.
But I tend to ignore what Horner says everytime he opens his mouth.
