I do feel the critique on Seb is it bit much. Yes he has spun in some fights. No these weren't maybe the best times to pick time (those fights) and I do agree (or at least I personally feel) Seb's racecraft isn't of the very top tier level when it comes to battling. But is wasn't so poor either. He lost out in every duel these last few races but it could have also ended differently. The pressure surely has affected those choices. Once a gap starts to appear (in points, between nr1 and 2 in the wdc) the pressure on the one on the back foot can quite quickly escalate.
I’ll go back to Singapore 2017 again.
Ahead in the championship. On a wet track on pole with his team mate in 2nd and Verstappen in 3rd. He then gets a bad start and instead of playing the long game he trys a schumi chop that was never going to come off. What’s the reasoning for that event as being behind in the championship doesn’t work?
