Alonso fastest during second practice at Singapore

F1 Grand Prix, GP Singapore, Marina Bay Street Circuit

The second free practice session of the first ever Singapore Grand Prix started with 2 minutes delay as there were still fans walking on the track. As the session finally kicked off, Fernando Alonso proved to be the fastest man on the new street circuit. He was followed by Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Mssa.

With only 27 minutes left on the clock, Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber finally comes out on track. His team has been busy repairing his car after the crash during the first practice session.

As Webber completes his first lap, Lewis Hamilton is on top of the timesheets with a time of 1:45:805. He is followed by Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg.

With only 15 minutes left on the clock, Felipe Massa clocks a time of 1:45:793. Especially his third sector was very fast.

As the drivers begin their final stint, Heikki Kovalainen improves his time and moves up to P2, just in front of his team mate. But this doesn't last for long as Hamilton again makes his way to the top of the time sheets with a time of of 1:45:752.

During the last minute of the second session, Fernando Alonso forces his way to the top with a time of 1:45:654. The Renault driver is followed by Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa.
