Engine change for Heidfeld

By on

Both drivers used the morning session to do some aero work, comparing different front wings, and also carried out set-up tests. Robert also conducted a comparison to evaluate different tyre compounds. In the afternoon session plans for longer runs were once again cut off by red flags and an unplanned engine change on Nick’s car also cost time. Robert’s programme for the second half of the day was testing different damper settings and again new aero parts which both brought positive results.

What comes next: The BMW Sauber F1 Team stays in Bahrain for another three days of testing next week. Robert will be driving on all three days – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. On the first day he will be joined by Sebastian Vettel and for the remaining days by Nick.
