Today marked the end of the first part of this long test session in Bahrain, attended by nine Formula 1 teams. Since the first day, Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro fielded its two race drivers, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen. The technical programme centred on the following areas: long run test for the 056 engine, running over the distance of a double race weekend, comprehensive Grand Prix simulation, including pit stops, electronics, various set-up changes and comparison of various mechanical components.

At the end of the three days, both drivers had completed their planned programmes. Today, Felipe had reached the mileage limit on his engine even before the lunchtime break and only got back on track towards the end of the afternoon, while Kimi finished his long run at the end of the day.

The day in figures is as follows: 100 laps for Kimi (best time 1.31.867) and 52 for Felipe (1.31.718.)

The Scuderia resumes testing at this circuit on Tuesday 27th February: on track once again will be Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.
