Ferrari 150° Italia

But in this case would you not think that the flow direction and possible changes of direction are well known? There could be a case made for the steering angle of the wheels creating some interesting problems, but this would have been seen in the wind tunnel long ago. Also, this instrument is only good for 45 degrees. We are pretty much still aimed at the track surface.

Maybe they are oriented at 90deg to the airflow because they are measuring air speed, not air pressure.

I don't know, from what I read yesterday that is not how airplanes measure speed. They do have ports in surfaces that are parallel to air flow. Would a nozzle in the free air stream 90 degrees to the flow function the same as a port?

I have yet to find anything in the literature about using the pitot-tube at 90 degrees to the flow axis.

I assumed the opposite, angled down they measure pressure which is not effected by air speed.

BUt for that they will need new ekhaust manifold and new cover ($$$$)...

I assume that "solution" for the test they remeber yesterday. Than they quicly improvize and just remove flat outlet and add this curved tube to nevralise EBD efect on the left side...

I wondering to know why is this just on one side... are this colected data relevant? How many laps they do with ths setup?

Hmm interesting will be data from corners speed (expecially focus on similar left and right cornes)?
