Ferrari 150° Italia

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

maybe they also want make all body of the a lot tighter to the engine and around exhausts

with usage of this very thinner zirotech coating than nowadays usefull random isolation materials...
They will gain quite a lot extra space to make side pods a bit smaller and slimmer...

Like some say in previsious post. Every mm couts!!

Here is a photo from the brazilian practice. This is Alonso's car. Do you see anything strange? Perhaps the marshal's right elbow?

I see what your saying, but it's nothing unusual. It's a removable part of the body so the mechanics can get into the exhaust, or it can be removed for extra cooling. (probably)

Roughly a page and half worth of posts were moved out of this thread. The posts that were oriented towards specific 2012 car development were taken to the respetive thread; Ferrari F2012.

And the ones directed towards the management/team side of the operation were merged into an existing team discussion; Scuderia Ferrari 2011/12.

Please be thoughtful and only discuss the 2011 car in this thread.

Well this thread should be closed then. Nobody is going to want to discuss the 2011 car. Moving lots of posts that are speculating about the 2012 car into said thread is going to make it a pain for ppl including new members when there is actually concrete stuff to read about on the 2012 car instead of scrolling through pages of speculation because it's the offseason and there isn't much to talk about. But I guess that's just my moderation style.

Just unstick this thread and make 2012 car threads sticky.

Well, you gotta be a mod to do that.
I think they'd do that in a short time.
