Shanghai circuit to get final inspection in March

Before the Shanghai circuit gets the approval for F1 racing by the FIA, it is to complete mandated changes to the track surface and draining before a final inspection takes place in March. Up until now the race has been as provisional on the official 2011 F1 World Championship calendar.

Speaking to 'Reuters', a spokeswoman for F1's governing body commented on the matter, "The Shanghai International Circuit has confirmed that all work as requested by the FIA will be carried out and should be completed by the end of February. Before a new licence can be issued, the FIA will carry out a final inspection in March."

And with the race being held on 17 April, the planned February completion time should give the organizers plenty of breathing room before the final FIA inspection.
